Convergence Station Workers Join MWWC

We, the workers of Meow Wolf Convergence Station, in solidarity with our fellow artists and peers, have formed a union to join the Meow Wolf Workers Collective (MWWC).

The MWWC knows radical creativity has and will change minds, lives, and the world around us. Meow Wolf’s success is built upon collaboration. The MWWC in New Mexico has proven that collaboration helps everyone thrive. We are not against Meow Wolf, because we are Meow Wolf. Forming a union is an act of care, for ourselves and those who work with us. We want to continue to bring radical, inspiring art to life and while we also build the workplace we dream of. To do that, we must unionize.

We bring Convergence Station to life. Without our collective collaboration, it would be chaos without security, a mess without custodial, lifeless without creative operators, empty without a box office, broken without maintenance, hungry and thirsty  without food services, generic without wardrobe, and forgotten without retail.

The MWWC will honor our collaborative ideals through a contract with the company. Through this contract, we will center the needs of all workers by seeking employment protections, thriving wages, reasonable accommodations for diverse abilities, clarity in communication, inclusive opportunities for career growth, and a diverse workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment of any kind. The age of starving artists is over.
We have an obligation to demand diversity in our staff and in our work. The company and our union must use our platform to boldly dismantle the outdated and toxic cultures that harm our society and prevent humanity from achieving a better world. We must create accessible worlds that we want to live in, and we will eagerly collaborate with the company to achieve that.

As a collective, we ask Meow Wolf to recognize our union. We call on the company to stand by its progressive, radical roots and honor their collaboration with MWWC in New Mexico. In doing so, Meow Wolf would live up to its mission of supporting artists. Meow Wolf would not only be respected by working creatives around the world, but by the growing labor movement as a whole.

The MWWC in Colorado will join the Communication Workers of America and MWWC in New Mexico as we win representation for every worker in our union. We are proud to say we have majority support in our bargaining unit, and more join us every day. Change will require time, effort, collaboration, listening, and creativity. It always has. But in spite of all the work ahead we deeply, genuinely, passionately believe in this place and what we do every day. We ask Meow Wolf to let us join the conversation as we grow stronger together..
When we work together, we build worlds. Then we bring worlds to life.
In Solidarity (from one end of the multiverse to the other),
The Meow Wolf Workers Collective in Colorado
